The Last Day..

We arrived in Amsterdam Thursday evening after an 8 hour bus ride from Heidelberg. We ate dinner and did some souvenir shopping before going to bed early in order to wake up for the very, very busy day we had ahead. On Friday, we visited PricewaterhouseCoopers, which is one of the Big 4 accounting firms. This was extremely cool for me because I really want to work for a firm like this one day so it was really interesting to hear how they do their business internationally.

After PwC, we came back to the hotel and had our final debriefing and wrap up session. It was heartbreaking. This group has truly turned into a family in such a short amount of time, and I’m not ready to say goodbye to anyone of them. After our wrap up, we went and explored the Heineken Experience and it was phenomenal! This was another especially awesome trip for me since I just recently did an entire case analysis on Heineken for one of my classes at Clarion. It was awesome to be able to see all of the information first hand and learn about their brewing process.

After Heineken, we all did a little more exploring and ended up at an Ice Bar. We even found our way over to The Red Light District, which was interesting to say the least. The best part about last night was finally being able to go to sleep without setting an alarm for 6 am! When we woke up today, we took a canal ride to Heineken’s brand store, went to the Van Gogh Museum, and just tried to soak in every last bit of Amsterdam and Europe that we possibly could!!

It’s been a great 16 days.
