J’aime Paris

What an amazing ending to my time in Paris! This morning we had a guided tour at the beautiful Palace of Versailles. This gorgeous former royal residence holds not only French history, but a little bit of our own American history as well. Seeing the detail in the paintings and furnishings and hearing the rich history and stories of the kings who lived there was so cool. Afterwards, we took a coach to The Louvre, home of the world famous Mona Lisa. The only thing more spectacular than the painting itself was the crowd of people around it!

After that, we took the metro to The Eiffel Tower! It was truly one of the most beautiful structures I’ve ever seen and it actually turned out to be a lot larger than I even expected. Later, we had an amazing dinner at an Italian restaurant with some of the most welcoming and genuinely warm-hearted servers I have ever encountered. Then we wandered around the city for a few hours. I can honestly say that I am so not ready to leave Paris, but I can’t wait to see what the rest of this journey has to offer!
